Alan J. Pakula
Alan J. Pakula was an American film director, producer, and screenwriter born on April 7, 1928, in The Bronx, New York. He became known for his intelligent, suspenseful films that explored political paranoia, corruption, and moral conflict. Pakula first gained recognition as a producer before directing acclaimed films such as Klute (1971), The Parallax View (1974), and All the President’s Men (1976), often referred to as his “paranoia trilogy.” He also directed notable dramas including Sophie’s Choice (1982) and The Pelican Brief (1993). He died in 1998 following a car accident.
