Alexander Korda
Alexander Korda was a Hungarian-British film producer, director, and screenwriter who became one of the most influential figures in early British cinema. Born in 1893 in what is now Hungary, he began his filmmaking career in Europe before moving to the United Kingdom, where he founded London Films. Korda achieved international success with films such as The Private Life of Henry VIII, which helped establish the global reputation of British filmmaking. Throughout his career, he produced and directed lavish historical dramas, adventure films, and literary adaptations, often collaborating with leading actors and artists of the era. In 1942, he became the first filmmaker to receive a knighthood in Britain for his contributions to the film industry.
