Bradley Rust Gray

Bradley Rust Gray (born 1971) is an American independent filmmaker whose intimate, often near-silent dramas have made him a distinctive voice in contemporary independent cinema. Born in Ohio, he studied architecture at the Art Institute of Chicago and earned graduate degrees from the University of Southern California and the British Film Institute in London. His feature debut Salt (2003) was shot in Iceland and won the Calgary Film Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival. He followed with The Exploding Girl (2009), a New York-set film about young love that confirmed his minimalist sensibility, and Jack & Diane (2012). He frequently collaborates with his wife, the filmmaker So Yong Kim, having co-written her films In Between Days and Lovesong and edited much of her work.
