Leni Riefenstahl

Leni Riefenstahl was a German film director, actress, and photographer born on August 22, 1902, in Berlin, Germany. She became internationally known for her visually innovative filmmaking techniques, particularly in documentaries and propaganda films produced during Nazi Germany. Riefenstahl directed Triumph of the Will (1935), documenting a Nazi Party rally, and Olympia (1938), about the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, both praised for their groundbreaking cinematography and editing. Her close association with the Nazi regime and Adolf Hitler made her one of the most controversial figures in film history. After World War II, she continued working as a photographer and filmmaker, though debates about her artistic legacy and political involvement persisted throughout her life.
