Leo McCarey

Leo McCarey was an American film director, screenwriter, and producer born on October 3, 1898, in Los Angeles, California. He became one of Hollywood’s most celebrated filmmakers, known for his skill in both comedy and drama. McCarey began his career working with comedy legends such as Laurel and Hardy before directing acclaimed films including Duck Soup (1933), The Awful Truth (1937), Going My Way (1944), and An Affair to Remember (1957).
