Aditya Assarat
Aditya Assarat is a Thai film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his understated, character-driven films that often explore urban life, memory, and social change in Thailand. Born in Bangkok in 1972, he studied filmmaking in the United States at the University of Southern California. Assarat gained international recognition with his debut feature, Wonderful Town, a quiet drama set in post-tsunami southern Thailand that won the New Currents Award at the Busan International Film Festival. His later work includes Hi-So, which continues his focus on subtle storytelling and the complexities of contemporary Thai society.
