Alejandro Amenábar
Alejandro Amenábar is a Spanish-Chilean film director, screenwriter, and composer known for his work in psychological thrillers and historical dramas. Born in Santiago, Chile, in 1972 and raised in Spain, he studied film at the Complutense University of Madrid before quickly rising to prominence in Spanish cinema.Amenábar gained early success with Tesis and international recognition with Open Your Eyes, later remade in Hollywood as Vanilla Sky. He went on to direct acclaimed films such as The Others, The Sea Inside (which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film) and Agora.
