Alejandro Jodorowsky

Alejandro Jodorowsky is a Chilean-French filmmaker, writer, playwright, comic book creator, and spiritual thinker best known for his surreal and visually striking films. Born in 1929 in Tocopilla, Chile, he became a central figure in avant-garde cinema with cult classics such as El Topo and The Holy Mountain, which blended mysticism, symbolism, and psychedelic imagery. Jodorowsky also gained recognition for his work in comics, particularly the science-fiction series The Incal, created with artist Moebius. His ambitious but unrealized adaptation of Dune became legendary and was later explored in the documentary Jodorowsky's Dune. Across his career, he has explored themes of spirituality, psychology, and personal transformation through multiple artistic mediums.
