Aleksandr Gordon
Aleksandr Gordon was a Russian film director, screenwriter, and actor associated with Soviet art cinema. Active primarily during the 1950s and 1960s, he is best known for his collaborations with filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky, including co-directing the short film The Killers, based on a story by Ernest Hemingway. Gordon later directed several films and television works of his own, often marked by literary influences and psychological themes. He also wrote memoirs and essays reflecting on Soviet cinema and his friendship with Tarkovsky.
