Ana Guevara Pose

Ana Guevara was born in Montevideo in 1980. She is a Uruguayan filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer. She is best known for her long-standing creative partnership with director Leticia Jorge. Together, they have written and directed acclaimed independent films that frequently explore themes of youth, grief, and complex interpersonal relationships. They met and began collaborating while studying at the Catholic University of Uruguay. Their first feature film, Tanta agua ("So Much Water") (2013), was written and directed by both women.
