Eran Riklis

Eran Riklis is an Israeli film director, screenwriter, and producer known for politically and emotionally nuanced films that explore identity, conflict, and human relationships in the Middle East. Born in 1954, he studied at the National Film and Television School in England and gained international recognition with films such as The Syrian Bride (2004), Lemon Tree (2008), Zaytoun (2012), and Dancing Arabs (2014). His work is noted for its humanistic approach to Israeli-Palestinian issues and has won awards at major international film festivals including Berlin, Locarno, and Montreal.
