John Berry
John Berry (1917–1999) was an American film director, actor, and screenwriter whose career was deeply affected by the Hollywood blacklist of the 1950s. After being accused of Communist sympathies, he moved to France, where he continued directing films before eventually returning to the United States. Berry is best known for films such as He Ran All the Way (1951), Tamango (1958), and Claudine (1974), and is remembered for his socially conscious storytelling and resilient career.
