Lena Dunham

Lena Dunham is an American writer, director, actress, and producer born on May 13, 1986, in New York City. She gained widespread recognition with her independent film Tiny Furniture (2010), which she wrote, directed, and starred in. Dunham became internationally famous as the creator and lead actor of the HBO television series Girls (2012–2017), a comedy-drama exploring the lives and relationships of young women in New York. In addition to directing and acting, Dunham is also an author and producer.
