Yôji Yamada
Yoji Yamada is a Japanese film director and screenwriter born on September 13, 1931, in Osaka, Japan. He's best known for his film series Otoko wa Tsurai yo featuring the character Tora-san. The series holds the Guinness World Record for the longest-running film series starring the same actor.[He later received international acclaim for historical dramas such as The Twilight Samurai (2002) and The Hidden Blade (2004). Renowned for his gentle storytelling and emotional depth, he is considered one of the most important filmmakers in Japanese cinema. He has directed 91 films
