About

Chen Liang (Yulai Lu) illegally moves from China to Japan to start a new life. As he struggles to obtain fake papers and work, he receives a wrong number phone call about a job offer. Liang assumes that new name to deceitfully take the job as an apprentice to a master chef (Tatsuya Fuji) at a soba shop. Liang struggles to conceal his true identity as an outsider while learning about traditional Japanese cuisine. Directed by Kei Chikaura.
