Loneliness of the Couple or Samotność we dwoje is a 1969 Polish psychological drama directed by Stanisław Różewicz. A married couple living in rural Poland. Despite their seemingly peaceful life, the couple struggles with deep emotional isolation and an inability to communicate, leading to a profound sense of loneliness within their relationship. Directed by Stanisław Różewicz and based on a story by Karol Ludwik Koniński, the film poignantly examines the silent suffering that can exist within intimate bonds.
