A handsome young man comes to Tehran from the countryside with his ailing father. Being something of an opportunist, he quickly adapts to the bullying and corruption which seem to be the norms of city life, becoming something of a bully himself. Even so, when he helps a nurse in the hospital dispose of a corpse, he shows that he is not without a certain sensitivity.
