György Fehér
György Fehér (1939–2002) was a Hungarian cinematographer, film director, opera director, screenwriter, dramaturg, adjunct professor, producer, and actor; recipient of the Béla Balázs Award.. He graduated from the Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in 1972, specializing in directing and cinematography. His debut feature, Szürkület (Twilight, 1990), received awards at the Hungarian Film Festival and international festivals including Locarno and Strasbourg. His 1998 film Passion won several awards at the 29. Hungarian Film Festival, including Best Director, Best Actor and Actress, and Best Cinematography. He also published Cyclopedia Anatomicae (1996), an illustrated reference on human and animal anatomy, followed by two books on human and horse anatomy. He directed several theater and opera productions.
