Twilight (Szürkület) was György Fehér’s first feature film, which he made at the age of 50. A young girl is found murdered in a remote woodland near the mountains. A travelling salesman with a criminal record is suspected of the crime, but the detective investigating the case is unconvinced of his guilt. The detective discovers a drawing by the girl depicting a mysterious black “giant,” whom he believes may be the real killer. Determined to catch the murderer, he places a mother and her young daughter in an abandoned petrol station as bait. Adapted from the novel by Friedrich Dürrenmatt.
