About

Alexandros, a middle-aged writer in Thessaloniki, learns he has a terminal illness and prepares to enter the hospital. While trying to arrange his affairs, he becomes involved with a young Albanian immigrant boy whom traffickers are attempting to sell into illegal adoption. Alexandros rescues the boy and attempts to help him reach Albania, but their journey to the border forces both to confront fear, loss, and uncertainty. The boy's struggles awaken Alexandros from his despair and renew his passion for the unfinished poetry of Dionysios Solomos. After the boy eventually disappears onto a ship, Alexandros returns home and confronts memories of his beloved dead wife, Anna, who tells him tomorrow will last “eternity and a day.”
