About
Ours Is This World (in Hungarian: Miénk ez a föld) is a 16mm documentary film that follows Roma guest workers who spend the weekdays working in Budapest and return by train each weekend to their village in Northern Hungary, where their families await them. With sociographic detail and sensitivity, the film portrays their living conditions, as well as their everyday lives and holidays. It also features a rich collection of traditional folk music, including a sung performance of With a Pure Heart, a poem by renowned Hungarian poet Attila József.
